Wyatt Clark (Blue Springs South High School, 2021) began his playing career as a catcher and last year changed his focus to pitching. The switch is paying off for the right-hander: his fastball is working up to 90 MPH, topping out at 89 at the 2020 Premier Baseball Winter College Showcase, and his curveball shows tight spin with late break. His performance this summer earned him an offer to play at his dream school, the University of Central Missouri.
Grant Geren is an all-around amazing athlete. In addition to setting the stolen bases record at Blue Springs South (2019) and being selected an All-Conference All-District, and All-State baseball player his senior year, he also runs a 4.3 40-yard dash in football. We sat down with the Maples Woods freshman to learn more about his experience playing baseball at Inside Edge.

The sophomore pitcher from Blue Springs South High School loves Fenway Park, hot dogs, and dreams of stepping to the plate in the bottom of the ninth, down 2, with the bases loaded. And like a true traditionalist, John doesn’t like the designated hitter rule. We sat down with him to learn what drives his traditional sense of baseball.
