Zach Dillman, a 2020 Lee’s Summit West graduate, has an interesting recruiting story. After failing to make the high school baseball team during his Sophomore year, a little over a year later he accepted an offer to play baseball at Missouri State University. We sat down with Zach to talk about his high school experience, recruiting, and what playing at Inside Edge has meant to him.
Avery Rivero is that kid–he put in the work and realized his childhood dream of playing baseball in college. Avery, a Lee’s Summit West grad (2019) and North Central Missouri College freshman, shares about his work ethic and why he considers joining Inside Edge 6 years ago to be the best decision he made.
Brock Stewart joined Inside Edge during our first season. His focus on grades (4.33 GPA, 33 ACT) and baseball turned into a great opportunity to attend and play baseball at Maryville University. We sat down with him to hear what it’s like to play baseball in college.
We’re kicking off the 2019 Player Profiles with a true Inside Edge original. Jackson Boenker joined IE in 2013, playing for one of the original 7 teams. His dedication to development over the past six years has earned him an offer to play baseball at North Central Missouri College.
Cole Taylor played at IE for 4 years, and after graduating from Lee’s Summit West in 2017, he now plays baseball at the University of Central Missouri. He took a few minutes to share his experiences playing at the collegiate level and how it differs from playing high school baseball.
Wolfe Weeks, who plays for 16 Red, is a standout student at Lee’s Summit West. The 2019 graduate currently has a 4.1 GPA and starts at pitcher or first base for the West JV team. If those stats don’t show it, he thrives in high-pressure, challenging situations–something he learned watching Mike Moustakas struggle in the 2014 season.
We sat down with Zach Dillman, from the 15u Red team, to talk baseball and his experience playing with Inside Edge. He also shared great advice for younger players.
